Consider a man walking in the dark stopping all of a sudden shouting snake snake snake. After a pause, he laughs at his own ignorance as there was a rope not a snake. It is maya that converted rope into snake. Firstly, the power to conceal was able to hide the rope and secondly the power to make false projection created the illusion of snake. Ketu has no head. It is about mystery and it represents the power to conceal. Rahu on the other hand makes things appear even if they do not exist and thus represents the power to make false projection. So, Rahu and Ketu together represent maya. Since maya is about ignorance the remedy is knowledge or Guru.
